It's the Final Countdown

| | Comments (0)

Well, I am officially starting to panic. We are now on the final coutndown for Philip's arrival - unless he plans on making an early appearance (which I am not feeling he is) he will be here in exactly 7 days. There has been so much going on since Thanksgiving between sick kids and just the day to day bustle of life that the time has just flown by. I feel like I have a million tihngs to do to prepare for next week, but just enough energy to make it through the days getting the "basics" done. So, at this point I am praying for a burst of energy so that I can get bags packed for the hospital and keep the house clean and laundry done until next Thursday. I had my last visit with my OB/GYN before the big day today. Everything looked good, the most important thing is that he is growing and had a great heartbeat. God has blessed us beyond measure - just as He always does.

What a Trooper

Sam has had a hard week, to say the least. The Saturday after Thanksgiving he started feeling bad, which is easy to tell in Sam because he is suddenly not going 100 miles an hour. He was a little more mellow and just not quite himself. By Monday he was running fever and complaining of a sore throat, which a trip to the doctor's office confirmed as strep throat and we went home with a 10 day supply of antibiotics. This was not a big surprise, since Luke has already had two rounds of it in the past couple of months.
