Overheard on the local weather this morning as I was getting the kids ready: There was a "cold front" that blew into town yesterday. Yep, that's right - it drove the temperatures down into the low 90's. Wow, guess it's gonna be a cold one this year...
I feel like I spend about 75% of my time dealing with laundry. Whether it be washing it, drying it, folding it, putting it away, picking it up from the floors, or moving it from place to place - it is driving me insane. You would think that there is a simple solution to this problem, right? All I have to do is make sure that all the dirty laundry is put in the hamper at the end of the day. And then, when I wake up the next day simply wash and dry a load, fold it and put it away. Simple, right? Well, somewhere in the mix of being out of town the last 4 out of 6 weekends, having anywhere from 5 kids (sometimes more) in the house 4 out of 5 days and being pregnant and tired - I just have not carried out that simple solution. So, for now - my laundry rules me. BUT as of right now, right this very minute - it is all done. But I know in a few hours that more will magically appear in my hamper, and then I can start the vicious cycle all over again.
Today will be our first day with everyone back home and things "all back to normal". Two weeks ago today we left College Station and began our vacation as we traveled to Red River, NM. This trip was long awaited, as Matthew and I had never been out of state together since we have been married, and we had also never taken a family vacation with all five of us together.
