In a Galaxy Far, Far Away...

It is official, our kids have Star Wars fever. Due to the upcoming release (in theaters May 19th!) of Episode III:Revenge of the Sith, you can't turn your head without seeing Obi-Won, Anikin Skywalker, and of course Yoda.

From a hundred products in the grocery store, to all the toys, games and clothes you can imagine, Star Wars is everywhere.

With good, reason, of course, Episode III will complete the Star Wars series by tying together the three movies made in the late 70's/early 80's (episodes 4, 5 & 6) with Episodes 1 and 2. We will see Anikin Skywalker tranform into Darth Vader and see the story of when Luke and Leia were born. And, as you can tell, I am looking forward to this as much as Matt is.

The downside to all of this is that Episode III has been tagged to be very dark, so I am not sure that Luke will get to see it like he has been hoping. Regardless, he, Sam and Maddy have been making Star Wars drawings (like his Darth Vader here), playing "save Princess Leia (aka Maddy)", and fighting with their "light sabers" (empty paper towel rolls).

And for anyone wondering, our fondness for these great movies has nothing to do with our firstborn being named Luke...I think- unless Matt tried some Jedi mind trick on me when I was pregnant.
