The Model Man

After 5 weeks of resting up (for the most part - I heard about the lawn mowing, dad!!) my dad has gone for his testing this week to see what the doctor will plan do from here: surgery or medication. We will hear the results eaither tonight or tomorrow, so we will continue to pray that God touches his heart and strengthen the muscles and will guide the doctors to do what is best.

In order to help pass the time, dad has taken up doing model cars, planes and boats. What started out as a distraction attmept, I think has grown into a passion for him. Now adorning my parents fireplace mantel and entertainment center are about a dozen cars, two ships and a couple of planes (and I am sure that I have underestimted these numbers!). These are treasures from this time in our lives when we have all been reminded of just how much he means to every single person in our family.
