Great Weekend
We had a really great, relaxing weekend. On Thursday I took the kids to Waco and they stayed for a couple of days with my mom and dad. Matt and I got to get out and spend some time alone together, which was well needed. We were able to finish up almost all of our Christmas shopping, look at some Christmas lights and even caught a movie! We saw "Christmas with the Cranks" with Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curits and we both liked it alot. I think that for both of us, there are not a whole lot of Christmas movies that we don't enjoy.
Matt's mom and dad brought the kids back to us on Saturday, since they were coming down here to visit Daniel for the day. Maddy put on a big show for everyone at my moms house when they picked her up. Apparently she threw a fit that involved kicking and hitting of all adults involved in the process of trying to get her in the truck. I think she pushed all grandparents to the limit and was about as close to a spanking from them as she ever has gotten before!
When they got home we just relaxed for most of the day. Matt's parents come over for lunch and we all just took it easy while Daniel and his dad studied Trig.
We went to Chris and Kathy's that evening for dinner and a good game of hand and foot (this is a GREAT card game that Kathy's parents taught us in San Antonio - my absolute favorite!!!). Kathy and I decided to take pity on the boys and let them win for once - but we won't be so nice next time :).
Sunday we took it very easy, we just headed home after church and everyone napped or played. I had some dinners to cook for some girls who have just had babies, but that was the extent my efforts!!
